I was tired of our ugly metal filing cabinet and wanted something more functional and, yes I admit it, cuter. I found the perfect solution at Wal-Mart.
These canvas storage totes are perfect! Not only are they nicer looking, but they are super easy to thumb through to find the right file and in case of emergency, I can just pick up the whole tote and go.

I actually keep them on a shelf in our master bedroom closet. It’s a pain in the butt to get down, but it keeps it out of our son’s reach. I’d also suggest maybe finding some deep shelves and stacking them on there.
Those bins are cute!! I’ve seen some really pretty ones there that I’ve wanted to use in my laundry room to hide things… but now shelves to put them on .. yet.
Do they have ways to hang the folders or do you just lay them in there?
