Remember These?

I ran across a picture of an old playhouse I used to have growing up and it brought back so many memories. This is the exact same one I had growing up. EB has one of these (although not this particular one) at my parent’s house to play with and he loves it. I remember mine well. It was one of my favorite toys ever. Ever. I would place the little plastic furniture inside it just so, have the mommy doll cooking in the kitchen, the daddy doll watching TV, and the little children dolls asleep in their beds. *Sigh* Life was perfect in the plastic dollhouse. It makes me laugh now, because really…some things never change (Daddy watching TV…that would be my husband, the movie buff. But to his credit he doesn’t shirk his responsibilities.) Mommy cooking….it’s one of MY least favorite things to do. And the baby sleeping? Hysterical seeing that my little man can stay up until the cows come home and he barely has time to slow down for even that.

Life was perfect in the plastic dollhouse…but it’s never boring in ours.

Yep, that was a cool toy! I didn’t have one, but I had friends that did and I remember playing with it. Easy to carry and no longer considered to be kid friendly either. It’s a wonder we survived our childhood with all of those hazardous toys we played with when we were children.

I loved my Little People house too. I even thought it needed a paint job and painted it with my water colors.

Oh my gosh – I think I had that dollhouse – so cute.

    Happy new year!

YES! I had that exact house and a ton of the other original Little People things. Ah the memories of my father putting my pet cockatiel inside one of the fire stations and having to call Fisher Price to figure out how to get it apart since the poor bird was stuck.

    Happy New Year!

Remember these? I HAVE one of these! Well it’s in shades of brown and turquoise, and it’s in my 9-year-olds room surrounded by mountains of other stuff, but it gets played with! Yah, the Daddy and the TV….classic.

That has to be my ALL-Time favorite toy ever! I had one and played with it until I was waaaay too old to. I loved the doorbell, it was the swankiest part of it. I also thought the little garage was cool. Thanks for jogging my memory. :)

OMG! I think I did have that house. It looks so familiar, yet I can’t say for sure. Of course, I was a child in the 70′s, and that was a VERY long time ago…OK, maybe not SO long ago, but long enough that I can’t even recall for sure whether we owned it or played with it at friends.

I love the old FP stuff, so much better than today’s.
