We Heart You, Mr. Oscat!

I have to listen to a bunch of children’s music now that we have EB. And most of it is somewhat tolerable, but eventually teeters on annoying after awhile. You’d think those artists would at least have some sympathy on the poor parents who have to listen to it fifty godzillion times. In a row. Everyday.

I present to you Mr. Oscat, only THE most fabulous children’s music artist I have ever, ever heard. I’m serious, y’all. I could listen to his new CD “Mr. Oscat Says…” over and over and over and not once get sick of it. And I have.

I put the CD on the other night while making supper and I swear the work went by faster. He has the most engaging songs, but y’all…they have this hip, not overly-cutesy beat and lyrics that even an adult can appreciate. I was seriously impressed. And EB…oh my word, he loves it. Every song on the CD is great, unlike most where you are stuck with a CD that only has one or two good songs.

EB loved “Ducks In A Row”, as did I. The “quack quack quack quack” gets stuck in your head, but in a good way. It’s probably our hands down favorite. However, I also really like “What’s That Smell” and “All You Wanna Do Is Play”. You can go here and listen to some of the songs. You can also purchase the CD online OR purchase the songs on iTunes. How cool is that?

If you’re in the market for new children’s music, give Mr. Oscat a try. He will quickly become a favorite! You have my word.
