Secondly….y’all, I mowed my whole yard yesterday. OK, so I know that’s totally not blog-worthy, but last spring I attempted to mow it and got a third degree burn on my wrist from touching that silver thingy that gets real hot while I was trying to adjust the height on the mower. Hey, nobody told me it was hot. *sigh* In any case, I pushed that mower for the better part of the afternoon. I left the weeding to Cracked Daddy and we also pruned trees and trimmed hedges. Our yard looks so. freakin’. awesome. And I’m ashamed to admit, but that’s the first time in my whole 33 years I’ve ever mowed a yard. I know.

That tree has always and forever been my favorite. I’ll avoid details, but when I make that curve in the spring and see it, I feel like I’m finally home… I’ll check out that yard when I’m in the hood this weekend.
Congrats on mowing girl. I’ve only ever tried it once and didn’t even get halfway through the front yard on AFRo street. Geez.
I like mowing.

I love to mow, but a bad knee keeps me from doing it anymore. Jack was going to mow this past weekend, but neither of our push mowers will start. We go through this annoyance every year!

I’m dreading my first lawn mow of the year (we had some volunteers do it already once this spring) because my husband is injured so I have to do it. the lawn is HUGE, and we only have a push mower….
