Every so often EB will just blurt out things that make my head almost spin completely around because this child has a speech delay AND usually anything he says is more of a demand, like “more” or “stop”.
Yesterday he made an incredible mess with his toys in the living room and I just didn’t have the energy to pick them up before I left for work this morning. He walked in this afternoon when we got home and said, “LOOK at all that STUFF!”. Wow. That’s five whole words strung together.
And then tonight, EB wanted to watch The Chipmunks movie AGAIN, so I started it up in the DVD player and he said, “Thanks for all your help!”. Excuse me? I’ve wiped your little hiney for 3 years, fed you for three years, played with you, took care of you, and have rearranged my whole life around you for three years and all I have to do to get a simple thanks is pop in a DVD?
Took him long enough.
