One of the many benefits of living in the Mississippi Delta is the annual blood drive that takes place every summer. Only we don’t get the big bus that pulls up or the free t shirts for donating. In fact, our blood is free for the taking, taken often, and all we have to show for it is unsightly bite marks.
Last night I’m almost positive I killed over 20 mosquitos in our house. Everytime I would get all settled in the bed one would come buzzing around, eventually biting me or E.B until I could track it down and send it on to meet its maker. The fly swat was smokin’ from all the action it saw last night. And my walls? Lets just say I’m pretty sure after the summer is over that full paint jobs will be in order.
Our city sprays but the mosquitos are still terrible. So today I went out and bought two Time Mist dispensors and two bottles of Purge to hang outside above the doors. Every hour or so the dispensor will spray out a couple of squirts and this will help keep them from around the doorway. All for the low, low price of $80. Good thing we have that money tree in the backyard.

Ugh, you have to hate bug guts on the wall. Sorry the critters are being such pests. That is why I dislike this time of year. Too many bugs and the like.
Hmmm. . . must investigate said money tree
Good luck with your bug repelling program! Hope it works!
Oh, I hate mosquitos! We always have tons of gnats in the summer, which drive me crazy. Good luck!
Gurl. Is it the Purge I, II or III? Because I just learned that there are different grades of Purge… 1 is like the agriculture grade equivalent to what our farmers spray the fields with.
That’s what we’re spraying outside… you can only imagine what it’s like here on the lake. UGH!!!
Nice reference to the “blood drive!” It Cracked me up.
I know the feeling. Purge is a staple around my house. Our neighbors just built a screened in porch on the back….let me tell you how nice it is. I tried to get my hubby to sneak over there with me the other night after they went to bed to sit on the porch. he he! He didn’t think it was funny.

that is one of the worst…the buzzing in your ear when you are trying to sleep. don’t they give it a rest?!
we are fortunate in my spot on the globe not to have a huge problem with those peskies, but i feel your pain!
watch out those mosquitos don’t find your money tree and suck it dry too!
