    I don’t have kids but my husband is a teacher and gets up way before the crack of dawn…he picks out his outfits the night before and has everything ready to go so he doesn’t have to think that early in the morning!

    I do everything the night before. I lay out the outfits, get the cereal bowls ready, set out coats and shoes, pack lunches, and bathe everyone. It saves so much time in the mornings.

    We get a desk top calendar and write in all the dates such as band, appts, after school activities and assignment dates. We check it each day to make sure we don’t forget anything that is needed for the day.

    We homeschool, so we don’t have all the hustle, bustle, and frenzy that some have. During all the back-to-school sales, we just take advantage of them to make sure we are stocked up with supplies for the year or so.

    Start the kids on their lessons early. We started a month early and they were way more relaxed going into day 1.

    My daughter has to have her clothes “laid” out the night before–being a teeny bopper she likes to change her mind several times about what to wear-but changing her mind is not an option once they’re laid out…also books in backpack,notes signed etc the night before

    My tip is to write everything out on the calendar! As soon as I get the sheet that has all the school activities listed on it, I write everything down. Otherwise I completely forget about it.

    My biggest tip is to organize your school area (we school at home) and get lots of pencils, a good pencil sharpener, and lots of computer paper and ink.
