I’m Mandy and this is my virtual home.

I am also mom to a 6 year old computer whiz who is obsessed with helicopters and Legos and wife to my husband of 12 years who cooks the most amazing breakfasts on the weekends and he puts up with my crazy ideas and dreams and STILL encourages me along.

I live in the Mississippi Delta, also known as the Mosquito Capital of the World. Yes, I chased the mosquito trucks growing up, which may explain much.  Don’t let the Mississippi part mislead you.  We do have indoor plumbing and I’m NOT married to my first cousin.  At least I don’t think….

I’m an elementary school librarian and I love my job.  Introducing children to books and helping them develop an appreciation for reading is more of a passion than just a job. 

I started Mommy Cracked in October 2007 as a creative outlet while being a stay at home mom. I had no idea what I was doing but have quickly learned that blogging is a great way to connect with like-minded others, offers me an opportunity to write (which I love doing), and also serves as an online diary of sorts about my life, memories, and experiences.
